Basushankar (Basu) Bharadwaj

I am a consummate data professional and this site represents my thoughts and experiences working with data and analytics across my career. I’ve worked across numerous types of businesses, small and large, nascent and mature both in individual as well as team management capacities to deliver data outcomes.

I’ve set up data and analytics offices from ground zero in both a large corporate and a start-up, the latter as part of the founding team and I have exposure to managing both tactical and strategic change initiatives, most notably translating into P&L. My technology quotient is quite high but I believe my forte is intuitively understanding businesses and products using their data.

The Site

This is a quintessential data office site. The content on this site comprises of my personal thoughts stemming from experience and is not representative of any specific organisation’s policies, nor is it a guide to running a successful data organisation (however much I’d like it to be). That’s because data never comes in a “one size fits all” – organisations are innately supposed to be different. I’ve noted significant findings based on my experiences and documented them to help people understand more about data within their own fields. I’d encourage everyone interested in data to review and make their own adjustments as they go along.

Reach Out

I’d be happy to help and advise on specific problems and you can reach me via any of the options. What I’d appreciate most is feedback – on content, on experiences – so I can also learn as I build this up. If there’s anything specific you’d like to talk about, drop me a note and we’ll take it from there. If you would just like to stay up to date on all content published or even comment on specific posts, please do register on the site
